Connection Post 2
In class we recently discussed the Family and Medical Leave Act. This act states if your company has over 50 employees, they must give the employee up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave if they give birth or the employee or family gets seriously ill. Then they can not be demoted when they return, they must get the exact same position. This act reminded me when my manager at work took 12 weeks off for when she gave birth to her third kid. Then once she returned, she was still a manager of ours. Now i understand where and why my job allowed her to do this.
