Reflections post 3

In class recently we have been talking about the management aspects of business as well as the human resources and some of the laws that affect business. This is important to me because one day i hope to own my own business. The laws we discussed in class today about discrimination and equal opportunity in the workplace directly affects every business. I thought it was interesting how some of the laws are interpretted. We also discussed motivation which is key to management success in business. We talked about how intrisic motivation is just as effective if not more so than extrinsic. This means that money and benefits are not the only thing needed to motivate your employees. We talked about maslows heirarchy of needs which shows basics needs of human life which help to explain why people are motivated by certain things.
